COVID-19 INFO: There is a mask mandate for all spectators on EOU's Campus and football stadium. There will be no tailgating.
NATIONAL RANKINGS: The Bulldogs received votes in the preseason coaches Top-25 poll. Eastern Oregon is ranked 18th in the nation.
BULLDOG OFFENSE: The Bulldogs totaled 414 yards, with 228 coming on the ground. Newcomer, Reese Neville impressed in his debut with 167 rushing yards and two scores. He also had three catches for 50 yards. Quarterback Jon Jund went 17-26 for 186 yards he ran for 48 yards and two scores.
BULLDOG DEFENSE: The defensive line was dominant against Carroll. Totaling nine tackles for loss and five sacks. Linebacker Joe Ciacedo led the team with 10 tackles Reese Artz had seven a sack. The secondary had 12 pass breakups. Led by freshman Braden Swank who had four, including key one on the last defensive series.
BULLDOG SPECIALISTS: Blocked kicks were the theme of special teams. Western had three kicks blocked and Kyle Schulte blocked two Carroll punts, one of which set up the game-winning drive. Returner Trey Mounts averaged 9.5 yards per punt return. Neville returned one kick for 19 yards.
HISTORY: The Bulldogs are 12-18 all-time vs. Eastern Oregon and 5-10 in La Grande. The last time the Bulldogs played in Community Stadium was Sept. 22, 2018 when EOU won 54-51 in triple overtime.
