Bulldogs Beat Carroll In Season Opener

After a 651 day hiatus the UMW Bulldog Football team came out ready to play on Saturday.

Bulldog Reese Neville made his debut on Saturday and he did not disappoint. The redshirt senior ran for 167 yards and two touchdowns, and ad 50 receiving yards.

Carroll was able to take a 22-19 lead in the 4th with 9 minutes remaining. Western was able to get in one more score, John Jund was able to get it done, by finishing it off with a 5-play, 40 yard drive with a 1-yard quarterback keeper just before the 2 minute warning.

At the end Western came out with a 26-22 win for their season opener. Enjoy our photo galley below.
