Semi VS Train Accident On Highway 91 South

First responders were called out Wednesday, February 8, for a semi truck that was struck by a train on highway 91 South. The Semi truck was leaving the Dillon Livestock grounds and crossing the tracks. The driver saw the train was heading northbound down the tracks and tried to speed across the tracks to avoid being hit. The train came into contact with the driver side rear wheels, spinning the semi off the tracks and into the ditch. The driver of the semi was up and moving around talking to first responders at the scene. He was taken to the hospital to be checked out further. The semi was towed from the scene and the train received no apparent damage.
