Dillon Public Library Announces September Events, Resource Fair and Dolly Parton Pie Sale

DILLON, Mont. — The Dillon Public Library has several activities coming up in September, including the return of Books & Babies, the Dillon Resource Fair and a special Dolly Parton “9 to 5” Pie Sale benefiting library programming.

Books & Babies Returns September 16

Books & Babies returns to the Dillon Public Library on Wednesday, September 16, at 10 a.m.

The program welcomes families back to the library for another season of activities for some of its youngest visitors.

Dillon Resource Fair Set for September 19

On Saturday, September 19, Family Outreach’s 4th Annual Dillon Resource Fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Dillon National Guard Readiness Center/Armory.

The event gives community members an opportunity to connect with local organizations, learn about available community resources, enjoy activities for kids and enter for chances to win prizes.

Be sure to stop by and visit the Dillon Public Library table while attending the Resource Fair.

Also on September 19, Hollowtop Mobile Sharpening will be at the Dillon Public Library from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Community members can bring knives, scissors, lawnmower blades and garden tools to be sharpened. The service is cash only. Questions can be directed to Dave at 406-902-9002.

Dolly Parton “9 to 5” Pie Sale Coming September 25

September 25 brings a fun play on the date and Dolly Parton’s famous “9 to 5.”

The Dolly Parton 9 to 5 Pie Sale is planned for Friday, September 25, at the Dillon Public Library, with organizers planning to sell pies from approximately 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.—or until the pies are gone.

The fundraiser celebrates the Dolly Parton Imagination Library while raising money for the Friends of the Library to support library programming.

Slices will be available for $5, while whole pies will sell for $25. Purchases include coffee or bottled water.

Donated pies are welcome and will be entered into a pie contest, giving visitors another reason to stop by, grab a slice and vote for their favorite.

The event is being organized by the Friends of the Library and Dillon Public Library.
