Weekend Rundown

It's the second weekend in June, and things are happening all over. With plenty of activities for both young and old, you have no excuse to be bored. We will start releasing the Weekend Rundown on Thursday to give you a little more time to plan your weekend.



Friday, June 11


Tai Chi Elks Lodge 1554 - Dillon MT Starts at 9:30 am to 10:20 am Free Tai Chi classes continue. Please practice social distancing.


Dan Henry at Ruby Valley Brew Sumner is heating and so is the music at Ruby Valley Brew in Sheridan, Montana as Dan Henry returns for another night of ice cold locally brewed beer and live music. So if you haven't had the pleasure of listening to the music of the One Man Dan Band then head on over to Sheridan and join the good folks at RVB for live music June 11th from 5-8pm.


Don't forget to grab yourself an official Dan Henry sticker and keep an eye out for his soon to be released Album "Gillian Hall" featuring songs about Montana, Love, Loss, and traveling on the back roads.


Amanda Stewart 5-8 pm at The Star Restaurant, Live music with Amanda Stewart. Amanda is an Alt/Americana songwriter currently residing in Bozeman, MT.


Karst is Where the Heart is Karst landscapes, with their towering mountains depicted in traditional Chinese paintings, to their caves winding far beneath the Earth’s surface, have beckoned to humans since the beginning of recorded history. Take a journey through time to see how humankind has interacted with karst geology, an integral piece of our past, present, and future.


This is the third presentation in Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park’s annual Friday Summer Speakers Series, which introduces a new speaker each Friday at 8:00 PM throughout the summer.


About the speaker: Cort Walsh was born and raised in Butte, Montana, and is attending Montana Tech for geological engineering. She grew up visiting Lewis & Clark Caverns, and is currently a tour guide there.

Saturday, June 12


Butte Wings & Wheels 7:30 to 11 am at the Bert Mooney Airport. Aircraft Fly-in and Car/Truck show


Scenic Byway road clean up Do you live or play in the Grasshopper Valley? Please join the Polaris Community Saturday June 12, 2021 for the annual Scenic Byway road clean up. Miles will be assigned at 8:30 at Ma Barnes Country Store. A pot luck lunch will follow at 12:00 at the Grasshopper Campground. Please bring a dish to pass. We will also be celebrating Robert Marchessault's 47 years on the Polaris School Board

Clean up sponsored by the Grasshopper Valley Ladies club.


9th Annual Poker Run Join us this Saturday for an absolute blast. Live Music featuring Wayne Brothers. Live auction with some awesome items, including hand made Corn Hole set with bags, leather coats, sidekick passes to Apoc, a key item auction with a chance to win an M&P 15-22. There will also be Chinese Raffle with lots of great prizes, many donated by our local businesses. There is also a plaque given for best Car and best Bike in attendance.

If ya don't ride don't sweat it you can roll in your cage and enjoy the route around the Big Hole or come to the Frontier Event Center after 5p.m. and enjoy the evening events.


Big Hole River Retreat Tractor Truck and Car Show with Swap Meet Come join us for our first tractor truck and car show. We will have vendors and swap meet vendors. Braap Shack will have concessions available for purchase. Bring your tractors, trucks and cars! Anything with wheels will do! Registration starts 8 am. Vendors feel free to contact me via messenger or 406-660-2389 for more info.


Butte Dodge's Monster Truck and Car Show Join Butte Dodge as they host the Raminator Monster Truck featuring a car crush at 2pm. There will also be a car show, music and food trucks.


25TH Annual car show Car Show Starting at 12PM at the Old Depot Park

Show your support for our troops & Veterans in celebrating one of America’s favorite pastimes at Dillon’s longest running car show event!!

Commemorative dash plaques given to the first 20 entries. Awards, BBQ & refreshments

Hot rods, customs, motorcycles, trucks, All are welcome.

Summer Street Party starts at 5 pm Street party with the Dillon Tap House. Music, cornhole, free pool at the Elks. Food and drink are available for purchase.


Reckless at The Star, Nevada City starts at 5 pm live music with Reckless Abandon



Sunday, June 13


Pipestone Summer Ride starts at 9 am This is our annual summer ride! We are going to meet at the Pipestone 4corners bathrooms ready to ride at 9am. Bring your own lunch to enjoy while on the trail!
