The University of Montana Western will hold its Homecoming activities, Alumni Weekend, and Athletics Hall of Fame events September 26 - October 1, 2022. This week is an exciting opportunity for alumni, friends, students, faculty, staff, and community members to gather and enjoy all events on campus.
CROSS COUNTRY
The Montana Western cross-country teams finally got the 2022 season underway Saturday Sept. 17 after air quality postponed their Frontier Conference Preview Meet. Both men's and women's teams placed 8th overall in the meet. The team will be traveling to Helena today to compete in the previously postponed Frontier Conference Preview Meet at the Bill Roberts Golf Course.

VOLLEYBALL
The UMW Volleyball team is finally at home this week for their first two home games of the season. The Bulldogs are coming off of a five-set battle last week where they fell to Carroll College 2-3. They will look to bounce back in their home stand this weekend on homecoming.

FOOTBALL
The (RV) Bulldog football team (3-2) is looking to come out with a victory as they will be hosting the #21 Rocky Mountain College (3-1) on Saturday @ 3 p.m. MST. Western comes into the matchup after falling to Montana Tech last week 24-33. Rocky Mountain College comes into the contest after a 56-0 pounding of MSU-Northern. A win for the Bulldogs would give them their fourth win of the season.

RODEO
The Montana Western rodeo team competed this past weekend in Havre, Mont. at the MSU-Northern Rodeo. Tavy Leno won the women's all-around buckle as she won the goat tying average with a score of 11.8. Trevor Kay won the bareback average with a score of 146 over the weekend. The women's team placed second overall and the men's team finished up in third overall on the weekend. Currently, the men's rodeo team is sitting in first place of the national NIRA rankings.
The Rodeo Team will be hosting their home rodeo this weekend with events on Friday and Saturday. Times for events are as follows:

HALL OF FAME INDUCTION CEREMONY
The Montana Western Alumni Association and Athletics Department is proud to announce that five new members will be inducted into the Bulldog Athletics Hall of Fame on October 1, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. in the Lewis and Clark room on the UMW campus during a special induction ceremony and brunch. This year the Hall of Fame welcomes Dr. Janelle Handlos, Tommy Lee, Rob Hankins, Becky Kurtz (O'Neil) and Nick Rewerts.
The Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and brunch will be held on Saturday, October 1st, 2022, starting at 9 a.m. in the Lewis and Clark room in Mathews Hall on the UMW campus. The brunch is free for ages 5 and below, $10 for ages 6-17 and $20 for adults.
