Students-Athletes from Montana Western and Southern Oregon were selected the Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Football Players of the Week.

Offensive Player of the Week: Matt Struck, Southern Oregon, 6-foot-4, 220 lbs,
senior quarterback from Central Point, Ore. In Southern Oregon’s 42-7 conference win
over MSU-Northern, Struck was 22 of 34 passing for 326 yards and five touchdowns. He
rushed for 15 yards and one touchdown on seven carries. Also nominated: Trey Mounts
of Montana Western.

Defensive Player of the Week: Joe Caicedo, Montana Western, 6-foot-1, 215 lbs,
senior linebacker from Darby, Mont. In (RV) Montana Western’s 42-30 come-from-
behind, upset road win over No. 11 Dickinson State, Caicedo recorded seven solo tackles,
one tackle for loss (-6 yards), one quarterback sack (-6 yards). Also nominated; Devin
Holden, Southern Oregon.

Special Teams Player of the Week: Cesar Ruiz of Southern Oregon, 6-foot, 175 lbs,
sophomore kicker from Blythe, Calif. In Southern Oregon’s 42-7 conference win over
MSU-Northern, Ruiz was a perfect 6 for 6 PAT’s. Also nominated: John Mears of
Montana Western.
