UMW Freshman Guard Named Men's Basketball Player Of The Week

Ky Kouba of Montana Western was selected the Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference’s Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.

Kouba is a 6-foot-3 freshman guard from Billings, Mont. Montana Western opened their new season with two wins over Yellowstone Christian 109-51 and 108-51.

For the weekend, Kouba was 18 of 22 from the field (81 percent) and 12 of 16 3- point (75 percent). He averaged eight rebounds and two assists per game from a reserve role.
