Snowstorm Causes Single Vehicle Accident In Beaverhead County

Beaverhead County, MT - January 24, 2025
A sudden snowstorm hit Beaverhead County on Friday afternoon, leading to treacherous driving conditions and a reported accident on MT-41. The storm, which quickly dropped several inches of snow, struck around 12:45 PM, creating hazards for motorists across the region.
Near mile marker 12, a single vehicle lost control while navigating the slick roadway and slid down an embankment, crashing into a fence. The Montana Highway Patrol, Beaverhead County Sheriff Deputy, and D.V.F.D. responded to the incident and reported that the driver sustained injuries; however, the extent of those injuries remains unknown at this time.

Authorities are reminding drivers to exercise caution during winter weather conditions and to be mindful of rapidly changing road situations.
