Shepherd’s Garage Breaks Ground on New Dillon Facility, Plans May 2027 Opening

DILLON, Mont. — Shepherd’s Garage is expanding its operations in Dillon with construction of a new facility at 325 Cleverly Lane, marking another investment in the company's future in Southwest Montana.

The fourth-generation, family-owned Montana business has officially broken ground on the project, with construction expected to be completed by May 2027.

The new location will provide expanded service capabilities, additional parts inventory and improved facilities for customers throughout the region.

Building on More Than 20 Years in Dillon

Shepherd’s Garage established its Dillon location in 2005 under Rich Shepherd, bringing the family business's equipment sales and service operations to the community.

Now, more than two decades later, Toby Shepherd and Evan Peacock are continuing that legacy with a new facility designed to accommodate the company's growth and better serve farmers, ranchers, contractors and equipment owners.

"Our customers depend on their equipment to make a living, and our job is to help keep them working," said Evan Peacock of Shepherd's Garage.

"More shop space, a larger parts inventory and a better equipment yard will help us take better care of them. We're proud to make this investment in Dillon and the communities we serve."

Expanded Service Bays, Parts Inventory and Showroom

The new facility will feature larger shop bays, an improved showroom and additional space for parts inventory, allowing the Dillon team to expand its service capabilities.

The additional space is intended to help employees work more efficiently while providing customers with better access to equipment, parts and service.

"We're excited to bring the same commitment to customer service our customers have come to expect, with more capacity to meet their needs," said Toby Shepherd.

"This new facility gives us room to grow while keeping our focus on the people and relationships that built Shepherd's Garage."

Larger Equipment Yard and Improved Customer Access

The project also includes a larger, more organized equipment yard with dedicated areas for new, used and rental equipment.

Additional customer parking and improved loading and unloading areas are planned to make equipment pickups and deliveries easier.

These improvements are intended to better accommodate the needs of agricultural producers, construction companies and property owners who rely on equipment for their daily operations.

Fourth-Generation Montana Business Continues to Grow

Shepherd's Garage is a fourth-generation, family-owned business with roots in Jackson, Montana, and locations throughout western Montana.

The company provides equipment sales, parts, service and rentals to customers in agriculture, construction and property maintenance.

With construction now underway, the new Dillon location represents the company's continued investment in the community and its customers across Southwest Montana.

The new facility at 325 Cleverly Lane is expected to be completed in May 2027.
