Montana Western & Bank of Commerce Performing Arts Series Announces “Mythfest III”

UMW Press Release:

The University of Montana Western’s Fine Arts Department and Bank of Commerce Performing Arts Series is pleased to announce its spring performance festival, “Mythfest III”, to be held April 20-May 3, 2023.

“Myths are stories for our search through the ages for truth, for meaning, for significance. We all need to tell our story, and to understand our story. We need for our life to signify, to touch the eternal, to understand the mysterious, to find out who we are.”—Joseph Campbell

Back for its third year, “Mythfest III” is an international virtual performance festival based at the University of Montana Western in Dillon, Montana and directed by Miranda Zent. The festival features UMW student talent and guest artists from around the United States and abroad. This season will feature tales of saints, dreamers, secrets, mermaids, rock stars, cats, healers, and more through old and new works in playwriting, storytelling, poetry, imagery, music, digital media, and reimagined classics.

This online performance will be available free of charge by visiting from April 20- May 3. An option to donate will also be available online.
