Madison River Work Group To Meet May 19 In Bozeman

The Madison River Work Group will hold its next meeting Thursday, May 19, at 5:30 p.m., in Bozeman at the Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Region 3 Headquarters office, 1400 South 19th Ave. The meeting will be livestreamed on the FWP website. The focus of the meeting will be non-commercial use options for the Madison River.

Other agenda items include:

• Work group updates

• Commercial use

• New outfitters

• Fishing access site improvements

• River ambassador pilot

• Plan for June 22 commission meeting and future meeting dates

The 12-member work group was organized by the Fish and Wildlife Commission, per an administrative rule. This is the eighth meeting of the work group.
