July 10, 2025 – The Lima Volunteer Fire Department sprang into action Thursday evening after receiving a call about a fire caused by an arcing transformer. The witness, saw flames spread from the transformer pole to a nearby structure, prompting concerns about a large propane tank in the vicinity.
First responders arrived swiftly and managed to contain the fire, preventing it from spreading further. Thanks to their quick actions, the fire was limited to the pole and the adjacent structure, avoiding potential disaster.
