The NAIA released its week eight Football National Player of the Week honors. Montana Western's Jon Jund (Spring Creek, Nev./R-SR) has been named National Offensive Player of the Week. This is the first time a Bulldog football player has been named NAIA National Player of the Week since Joe Caicedo won National Defensive Player of the Week in 2019.

Jund, a 6'1 quarterback, had an exceptional weekend with a season-high 354 passing yards in the victory over the previously undefeated College of Idaho Yotes. He threw four touchdown passes, caught one in the air for a 16-yard touchdown reception, and rushed for 48 yards. He also rushed it in for a successful two-point conversion and averaged 10.1 yards per attempt while passing. Jund completed 26 out of 35 attempts, threw his longest pass of the season for 63 yards, and had his first receiving touchdown of his career.

"Jon is a high-level competitor and he stepped his game up. He played the best he has in his career." Head Football Coach Ryan Nourse stated.

Jon is the second player to receive NAIA National Player of the Week honors under Head Coach Ryan Nourse.
