City Crews Busy Removing Old Trees To Make Way For New Trees In The Summer

City crews are busy today removing the Canada Red Chokecherry trees lining Reeder street by Jaycee park. The trees have required continuous maintenance to help keep them out of the overhead powerlines. The trees also send suckers and seedlings throughout the boulevard causing further issues.

This coming summer you will see an improvement on the park as a new sidewalk will be put in along with an update in the irrigations system and some new sod. This will provide shade and help make the area more appealing to the eye for years to come.
