Governor Steve Bullock has issued a shelter in place and stay at home order for all Montanans. This means you only go out in public for essential business. The directive issued Thursday afternoon is in effect on 12:01 am Saturday. At a live news conference he broke this news.
What does this order mean, according to the Governor, "It is voluntary of the public and we are hoping that they will abide by this order, but local authorities can enforce a stay at home order if need be."
The Gov. also stated they are working on officially closing both Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks. The Gov. also stated that if people are visiting from out of state they to need to follow these guidelines.
