HELENA, Mont. – Governor Greg Gianforte issued the following statement in response to a suspected Chinese spy balloon that flew over parts of Montana yesterday:
“I received an informational briefing yesterday on the situation involving a suspected Chinese spy balloon flying over Montana. From the spy balloon to the Chinese Communist Party spying on Americans through TikTok to CCP-linked companies buying American farmland, I’m deeply troubled by the constant stream of alarming developments for our national security.”
A Chinese high-altitude surveillance balloon was seen over Billings Montana yesterday. The size of the balloon is reported to be three buses wide and has been flying over the Northern U.S. for days!
Three US Air Force Stratotankers were flying over Montana where the giant Chinese spy balloon was seen!
The Pentagon says it's not safe to shoot it down and The U.S. Defense Department has announced that it will allow the balloon to continue to float above the United States, rather than attempt to shoot is down!
