Five RBI Day For Katey Vezina Brings In The Win For The Lady Beavers Over Butte Central

Katey Vezina was clutch at the plate with runners on base on Thursday, driving in five on one hits to lead Dillon Lady Beavs past Butte central 20-5 on Thursday. Vezina drove in runs on a triple in the first, a walk in the first, and a groundout in the fourth.

Butte central scored four runs in the third inning, but Dillon Lady Beavs still managed to pull out the victory. Butte central big bats were led by Badovinac and Keeley, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

The Lady Beavs fired up the offense in the first inning. Dillon scored three runs when Vezina tripled.

Vezina took the win for the Lady Beavs. The fireballer surrendered five runs on four hits over three innings. Tymber Barnes threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Mehring took the loss for Butte central. The bulldog allowed four hits and eight runs.

The Lady Beavs collected ten hits on the day. Emily Brevig and Bridget Lovaas each managed multiple hits for the Lady Beavs. Lovaas and Brevig each collected two hits to lead the Lady Beavs.
