Update 06/26 7:25 A.M.

Located 6 miles northwest of Grant, the South Fork Fire was estimated at 48 acres last evening, burning in grass and sage on state land. Gusty winds pushed the fire, resulting in the increase in acreage from the initial report. The fire is reported to be 100% contained.

Firefighting resources will be on site again today, patrolling the perimeter of the fire area and mopping-up any residual hotspots.
