Empty Semi Blown Over by High Winds on Interstate 15 Near Lima

LIMA, Mont. — First responders from Lima were called to a single-vehicle rollover Sunday afternoon on Interstate 15 near mile marker 20 after strong winds overturned an empty semi-truck.
According to information from the scene, the tractor-trailer was traveling southbound on I-15 when a powerful gust of wind caught the side of the vehicle, pushing it over onto its side.
The semi was not carrying a load at the time of the crash, which likely helped prevent a more serious incident.
A driver traveling behind the semi said they could feel the intensity of the wind moments before watching the truck and trailer tip onto their side.
Fortunately, the driver of the semi was not injured in the rollover.
Crews responded to the scene to assist with traffic control and recovery of the overturned vehicle.
