Dillon Zitzer reached out to us to let the public know he has resigned as the head coach for the UMW Cross Country team. His resignation letter is as follows:
To Whom it May Concern, I, Dylan Zitzer, resign my duties as head cross country and track coach effective June 26th, 2023. I want to thank Ryan Nourse for hiring me and giving me the privilege of coaching in my home town for the past eight years. I’m incredibly thankful to all of the athletes’ I’ve had the opportunity to work with during my time here. Their hard work, dedication, and pursuit of excellence has been incredibly special. It’s been a good run and I’m very grateful for the successes that we’ve had, but I’m looking forward to moving in a new direction. Sincerely, Dylan Zitzer
