Saturday, July 6 the Grasshopper Volunteer Fire Department along with Dillon Volunteer Fire Department and the DNRC were called out to a fire burning on both sides of Taylor Creek Road.

The fire started from the dumping bins located a short distance from where the road starts next to Highway 278 near MM21. The fire rapidly spread up a nearby hillside and was being driven by heavy winds.
