Dillon Volunteer Fire Department Responds To Fire In Field

DILLON, MT – On Friday afternoon, the Dillon Volunteer Fire Department responded to reports of a fire in a field behind Rocky Mountain Supply. The fire was spreading in the field and posed a potential threat to nearby homes.

Thanks to the quick response from the fire department, the spread of the fire was contained, and it remained limited to a small portion of the field.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire originated from power poles located next to the field, with officials believing it was ignited by electrical lines. Vigilante Electric was also on the scene to assist, working to disconnect the live lines and make necessary repairs after the fire was extinguished.

No injuries were reported, and the swift action of the fire department helped prevent further damage to the surrounding area.
