Dillon Man Sentenced to 18 Months for Unlawfully Possessing Firearms

MISSOULA, Mont. — A Dillon man was sentenced Friday to 18 months in federal prison for unlawfully possessing firearms, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Cameron Duane Haworth, 50, will also serve three years of supervised release and pay a $10,000 fine. Haworth pleaded guilty in April 2026 to unlawful possession of a firearm.

The government alleged in court documents that Haworth was prohibited from possessing firearms because of a previous felony conviction.

Law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at Haworth’s home on Aug. 13, 2025. Agents found six firearms and ammunition inside the residence, according to prosecutors.

During an interview following the search, Haworth reportedly acknowledged knowing the firearms were in the home.

U.S. District Judge William W. Mercer presided over the case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Katy Stack prosecuted the case, which was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
