Dillon Lady Beavers Defeat Laurel Locomotives, 4-2

The Dillon Beavers defeated the Laurel Varsity Locomotives 4-2 on Friday, securing a solid victory with contributions from key players on the roster.


Kylie Konen set the tone for the Beavers, hitting a double in the top of the first inning to put Dillon on the board early in the game.


Adyson Creighton earned the win for the Beavers, delivering an impressive performance on the mound. She surrendered seven hits and two runs (none earned) over seven innings, striking out nine batters and walking one. In contrast, Alydia Stahlman took the loss for the Locomotives. The starter pitched three and one-third innings, allowing two runs on five hits, while striking out two and walking four.



Katey Vezina was a standout at the plate for Dillon, driving in two runs and finishing the game 1-for-2. Kinzy Creighton led the team with two hits in three at-bats. The Beavers displayed a strong eye at the plate, accumulating a total of six walks throughout the game, with both Vezina and Tyler Gibson contributing two walks each.


On the other side, Kourtney Kraft led the Locomotives with two hits in four at-bats, providing some offensive spark for the team.


The Dillon Beavers will face the Ronan Varsity Maidens for their next game on Saturday, looking to build on their successful outing against Laurel.
