Dillon Cubs Earn Victory Over Butte Miners, 4-2 Game 1 (Photo Gallery)

DILLON, MT – The Dillon Cubs secured a solid 4-2 victory over the Butte Miners on Thursday.
The Miners got on the board early in the first inning when Colt Hassler hit a sacrifice fly, bringing in one run. However, the Cubs responded immediately in the bottom of the inning. Andrew Bartlome crushed a home run to right field, scoring two runs and giving Dillon a 2-1 lead.
On the mound, Cohen Hartman earned the win, allowing just three hits and two runs—none earned—over 6⅓ innings. Hartman struck out six batters and walked three. Jaxon Williamson took the loss for Butte, pitching six innings and surrendering four runs (two earned) on eight hits, with four strikeouts and two walks. Ben Peacock earned the save, closing out the game.

At the plate, Hartman led the team with three hits in three at-bats, setting the tone from the top of the lineup. Andrew Bartlome drove in two runs and went 1-for-3. The team also turned one double play defensively.
For the Miners, Colt Hassler drove in a run, and Tocher Lee, the leadoff hitter, led the team with two hits in four at-bats.
