DILLON, Mont. — Two family-friendly events are planned in Dillon over the coming weeks, including a children’s bike rodeo and a book sale hosted by the Dillon Public Library.
Bike Rodeo Set for Aug. 19
A bike rodeo for children in kindergarten through seventh grade will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, on the Southwestern Montana Family YMCA trail.

Library Book Sale Planned During Fair
The Dillon Public Library will hold a book sale Sept. 3-5 in the Commercial Building at the Beaverhead County Fairgrounds.
The sale will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. Organizers may also open the sale Sunday morning, but that additional time has not been confirmed.
Along with books, the library will sell I Spy bottles, Shrinky Dinks, chips, water and other items.
Visitors who show a Beaverhead County Fair wristband may choose one book priced at $1 for free.
A phone-charging station and coloring pages for children will also be available. Visitors are invited to browse the sale and take a break from the sun.
The library thanked the Beaverhead County Fairgrounds for providing the space.

Library Closure
The Dillon Public Library will be closed Sept. 3-8. Patrons should plan library visits and material returns accordingly.
