The holiday season is in full swing so we thought we would release a Weekend Rundown Christmas Stroll Edition.
Thursday, December 1st
The Marvelous Wonderettes Musical Opens December 1st at UMW The performances will be held at the University of Montana Western’s Small Auditorium in Main Hall 314. Evening shows will start at 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday with matinee showings at 2:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Tickets are available at $15 for general admission, $10 for senior, youth, and military, and free for UMW students who present their Bulldog Cards. Christmas Stroll Come enjoy an evening in Downtown Dillon, Montana for the annual Christmas Stroll. Local businesses will be open for Christmas shopping and fun. Join us! Everyone is invited and welcome!

Dillon author O. Alan Weltzien will be signing books at The Bookstore on Friday, December 2nd from 5:00-7:00 during the Christmas Stroll. Weltzien, Professor Emeritus of University of Montana Western retired in May of 2020 after 40 years of full-time teaching. He has published 10 books and four chapbooks. His most recent work, On the Beach- Poems 2016-2021 marks the author as a major Montana Poet.
This collection threads decades of geographies into a collection of heartfelt memories and conjectures. He explores what it means to grow up and grow older, what it means to be a son, a husband and a father.These are poems of work, books, history, friendship and returning home. He will signing copies of On the Beach as well as Through the Basement of Time, Savage West and other titles.

Festival of Trees 2022 The Festival of Trees 2022 is raising money for the Kennel Club and Friends of Jaycee park. Everyone is invited to view the trees on Friday, 12/3, from 5 to 8 pm. Their will be a Kid's Raffle with tickets selling for 50 cents each. Children can put their tickets in the bucket for the basket of wonderful items they hope to win. Santa will be stopping by, too! The gala will start at 5 pm on Saturday, 12/3 with a social hour followed by dinner, live and silent auctions. Tickets, $40 each, can be purchased at The Bookstore or Taylor Realty.
