The UMW Bulldogs took to a soggy Vigilante field on Saturday against the College of Idaho Yotes. The rain let up just in time for the game but the constant drizzle Dillon was getting all morning left the field with less than ideal playing conditions.
The Bulldogs came out to play and to prove they still had the championship team we saw last year. Jon Jund threw for 354 yards and four touchdowns. Jund threw a 30 yard touchdown pass to Trey Mounts with 11 minutes left in the game to put the Bulldogs ahead and give Western the win.
Other highlights of the game include:
Trey Mounts finished with nine receptions for 179 yards. Neville had 114 rushing yards on 13 carries, and Colton McPhee had a touchdown for the Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs’ record is now 4-4 overall and 3-4 in the Frontier. C of I is now 6-1 overall and 6-1 in the league.
Thanks to the local merchants and politicians who paid for this great coverage of today's game.
