The Montana Western Bulldogs (11-4, 2-2) downed the Skylights of MSU-Northern (7-11, 0-4) 69-41 in their first matchup this season.

The Bulldogs jumped out to a 19-11 lead in the first quarter. In the second, Montana Western put up another 19, while the Skylights only tallied eight.
The Bulldogs continued to rally through the third and fourth quarters, adding another 31 points to the board while MSU-Northern only added 22. Montana Western held the Skylights to a mere 25 percent shooting from the field and 19 percent from the arc. The Bulldogs grabbed 45 rebounds (11 over their average), 17 of which were offensive.

"We had a great energy from the start and really liked how we maintained it at the start of the second half," coach Lindsay Woolley said. "It was great to see Jenni and Mesa bounce back with good performances."

Montana Western scored 18 points off turnovers.
Montana Western's Jenni Weber scored 14 points (5-8 FG; 4-5 3P); Jayden Winslow added 11 points.
Mesa King nearly tallied a double-double for the Bulldogs with nine points and nine rebounds; she added three blocks to her stats.
Brynley Fitzgerald and Lilly Gopher each had four assists for Montana Western.
Peyton Kehr led MSU-Northern with 15 points.
