BOZEMAN, Mont. — The Montana Western rodeo team kicked off the spring with the Montana State University Spring Rodeos #1 and #2.

Bulldog sophomore Tavy Leno rounded out the weekend by winning the women's all-around title on Sunday afternoon. She placed third overall in the average of the women's breakaway roping while also finishing in second in women's goat tying in the average.

In addition, Laura Haight had a tremendous breakout weekend for the Bulldog women. She took home the barrel racing title in the first rodeo on Friday night and finished with four clean runs on the weekend.

"It has been a long two days. Our athletes competed really hard and I am really proud of them," Head Coach JT Robbins said. "Some of our athletes really stepped up like Laura Haight, it is really hard to get in four barrel runs in this building like that. Tavy Leno winning the all-around is huge. I am just proud of the whole group."
