Billings Central Catholic Rams Down Beaverhead County, 8-1 (Photo Gallery)

DILLON, MT – The Beaverhead County Varsity Beavers fell to the Billings Central Catholic Varsity Rams 8-1 on Saturday, despite displaying solid batting efforts.
The Rams took the lead early, with Matteo Harris singling in the first inning to drive in the game's first run. In the top of the second, Brennan Harlan launched a home run to left field, driving in two more runs to extend Billings Central’s lead.
Paxton Prill earned the victory for the Rams, pitching four innings and allowing four hits and just one run. He struck out eight batters and walked two. For the Beavers, Cohen Hartman pitched three and two-thirds innings in relief, giving up three hits and two runs (one earned) while striking out three and walking two. Logan Fox took the loss, going three and one-third innings, surrendering six runs on eight hits, and striking out two.

Despite the loss, Kanin Engelhardt showcased the team’s depth at the plate, leading with three hits in three at-bats. Taylor Handlos drove in the lone run for Dillon, providing some offensive production.
The Rams totaled 11 hits in the contest, with Matteo Harris, Howie Martin, Brennan Harlan, and Oliver Prill each collecting two hits. Harris and Harlan also drove in two runs apiece, highlighting their importance to the team’s offense.
