Beavers Fall On Final Play Against The Broncs With A 3 To 4 Loss

It came down to the last play, but the Beavers were on the wrong end of a 4-3 defeat to Frenchtown Broncs on Wednesday. The game was tied at three with Frenchtown batting in the bottom of the eighth when an error scored one run for the Broncs.

The Beavers lost despite out-hitting Frenchtown nine to two.


The Broncs knotted the game up at three in the bottom of the seventh inning. Jordan Warner grounded out, scoring two runs.


Noah Gibbs earned the win for Frenchtown. The lefty surrendered three runs on nine hits over eight innings, striking out eight and walking one.

Kale Konen took the loss for the Beavers. Konen went one inning, allowing one run on zero hits, striking out one and walking one.


Tyler Lagunas started the game for the Beavers. The righty allowed two hits and one run over four innings, striking out five and walking one

The Beavers collected nine hits on the day. Andrew Bartlome, Sawyer Tackett, and Lagunas each collected multiple hits for the Beavers. Lagunas, Tackett, and Bartlome each collected two hits to lead the Beavers.
