If you build it, they will come, that was the message in the movie Field of Dreams. For some parents, Coaches, and local businesses that was also what they had in mind as they looked out over the gopher infested and neglected baseball fields of Ray Lynch Park. They wanted to build it back to a field that would attract baseball players and be able to host tournaments that would keep the play in one centralized location. After years of hard work, running into hurdles along the way and many more unforeseen problems, those all involved got to witness the dream become a reality.

The Beaverhead Little League held the district tournament on July 15th thru the 18th. The tournament brought in 15 teams along with family members to cheer them on.
With a dedication ceremony to kick off the weekend, both Beaverhead Little League All Star teams were the first to play on the field, followed by a weekend filled with tournament play.
After a few rainstorms, some high wind and some hot weather the Beaverhead 8-10U team pulled out a third-place spot in the tournament and punched their ticket to state. The Beaverhead 10-12U would place third in the tournament and will not be going to state.
