Beaverhead County 911/Communications Board to Discuss Repeater Funding and Emergency Communications Projects October 19

DILLON, Mont. — The Beaverhead County 911/Communications Board will meet Monday, October 19, 2026, at 11 a.m. in the Commissioners Meeting Room at the Beaverhead County Courthouse in Dillon.
The meeting will focus on emergency communications projects, budget updates and a proposed funding decision involving the permanent placement of a communications repeater.
Emergency Communications Projects and Budget Updates
The board will begin with a call to order, roll call and consideration of minutes from its July 27, 2026, meeting.
Under old business, members will receive a budget update and review progress on recent communications projects.
The board will also hear a report from the Technical Advisory Committee.
These discussions provide an opportunity for board members to review ongoing work related to Beaverhead County's emergency communications infrastructure.

Funding for Permanent Repeater Placement
One of the primary items scheduled for discussion and possible action involves funding for the permanent placement of a communications repeater at a location identified on the agenda as "the B."
Communications repeaters are used to extend radio coverage, helping emergency responders maintain communication across larger geographic areas and difficult terrain.
The agenda does not specify the repeater's exact location, the proposed funding amount or the scope of the installation.
Board members are expected to discuss the funding proposal and may take action during the meeting.

Public Comment and Next Meeting
The agenda includes an opportunity for public comment before the meeting concludes.
The board's next meeting is scheduled for Monday, January 25, 2027, at 11 a.m.
