The OPEN THEATRE PROJECT in conjunction with The Copper Village Museum
and Ars Center will be holding auditions for a COMMUNITY THEATRE
PRODUCTION of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever on Oct 18th. The show, based
on the well-loved book by Barbara Robinson has many roles for adults, teens and
children (aged 7 and up). The performances will be held Dec 9,10, and 11.
THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER is a modern holiday classic that tell
how the Herdmans (the worst kids in town) take over the local Christmas Pageant and
threaten to turn the whole show upside down with their antics. Adult roles include
Mrs. Bradley who is directing the pageant, Mr. Bradley, her husband and local town
folk who are shocked by the unexpected turn of events. There are multiple roles for
youth including a chorus of “Little Angels” played by 7-8 year old's.
Auditions will be held Oct 18 at the Anaconda High School Little Theatre (515 Main
Street) at 5 pm for ages 7-8, 7:00 pm for ages 9-13 and 8pm for 14 and older and
adults. All youth auditioners MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Rehearsals will be held primarily in the evenings beginning the last week of October.
No experience is necessary to take part.
Auditions will consist of reading from the script. Auditioners for the Little Angel
Choir and the Angel Choir will be asked to sing. It is not necessary to prepare a
