49-Year-Old Woman Killed in Crash Near Butte

BUTTE, Mont. — A 49-year-old woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash Monday on Interstate 15 near Butte.

According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the woman was driving a Honda Ridgeline southbound near mile marker 132 when the vehicle veered off the roadway, went down an embankment, and struck a delineator post before overturning.

Investigators say the driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by the Montana Highway Patrol. The woman’s name has not yet been released pending notification of family.
