Kids lined up at the starting line today in the rain for the 8th annual Pumpkin Run held at Chris Craft Park. The run was started eight years ago by County Commissioner Mike McGinley as a political stunt and ended up turning into an annual event.
Saturday's weather was overcast and a light drizzle, but that didn't stop a group of determined kids from finding the right pumpkin. At Noon when the lunch time siren blew the kids were off to get to that one pumpkin that was calling their name. After a quick minute all the kids were leaving the field with a pumpkin in tow.
