Abigal Eason Wins County Spelling Bee

The University of Montana Western played host to elementary and middle school spellers from around the county on Thursday, February 2nd at 1:30 P.M. in the Beier Auditorium in the Main Hall. Students from all grade schools, plus those from Dillon Middle School, and home schools competed for a trip to the Treasure State Spelling Bee on March 11th in Bozeman.


After it was all said and done. It came down to two competing for the title. The spellers both had to spell a word correctly then follow it up with one more final spelling, after a little back and forth Abigal Eason was able to best Chase Reasoner and come out on top. Taking home the championship trophy and securing a trip to Bozeman to compete.
